Snow is a shy girl and very tender hearted. We have been working with her to help her overcome her fears and learn to trust and be happy. She is already accepting belly rubs from Us and meeting more and more dogs in our pack. Her tail is starting to wag. She has Surprised us with her healing time she is pretty happy and knows to go out to potty. She’s not pottying in her crate. We originally thought she would need some extensive time to adjust and learn to trust but she’s just wonderful and putting on weight really well. She needs some TLC and a little time to adjust to her new home. If you are interested in her please fill out an application. Please note she will be a really big girl when she is fully grown. http://petpath.org/adoption-application-2/

Finn is a cutie and he doesn’t let his weight get him down. He’s been on a strict diet since he’s been with us but he is not dropping the weight. Ideally he should be about 18 lbs and he is a whooping 29 lbs. he may have cushings disease or hypo thyroidism. We have done other things to rule out other possible causes for some hair loss and blackened skin pigmentation and next step he will be getting blood work to try to narrow down exactly what he needs in medication to help Him. He’s a great guy and will make a family very happy. He would do well with older children who don’t get on his face or hit slap try to pick up etc. children who are taught to respect the dog. No small children.

Smokey and Cole came to us from a kill shelter and were at risk of euthanasia because they were fear biters. They seem to have been through a lot together and we would like to see them go to a home together. However we have worked with them and feel they would do ok without each other so we are open to separate homes for them. They are no longer fearful of people and do not bite unless provoked. No small children and no dogs smaller then they are, they get bossy sometimes with the smaller ones. They now wag their tails all the time and have lots of energy but mostly want to sit on your lap and be loved. Their behavior when we got them seemed to be that of “once a family pet to an elderly person who may have passed away and they were not socialized much with other people. It almost seems like the family couldn’t touch them and did not know what else to do”. Just our guess but we really are not sure. Yes the very first few days we had to be extremely cautious but they have since come such a long way and even greet strangers that come to see us. They deserve their own home where they can be spoiled rotten again. The adoption fee is firm as our adoption fee is 150.00 each on our adult dogs so no we are not increasing our fee because of their breed and we do not tolerate animal flippers. We require an adoption application as well as a home inspection and vet reference. Their only downside is that they sometimes attempt to mark inside the home. We think this could possibly be because of the number of dogs we have here and that could very well not be a problem in their own homes as they do not potty inside the house so they know to potty outside.

Nutella is a sweet boy. He does like to Mark inside the home unfortunately. We have worked with him for months now but he is sneaky about it. We have to be honest on here about the dogs so we are not going to sugar coat any unwanted behaviors.

Pugsley although he is cute he is a bossy little man and we will not sugar coat his behaviors, we will be honest. He is not house trained and has not gotten the hang of it in a year now. He has to wear belly pads while he is inside because he will mark everything and we do mean everything. We thought him being in his crate at night the home was safe but have found while cleaning several times he will urinate outside of his crate as well. He challenges other bigger dogs and has the little dog syndrome. He barks plenty. He is sweet though and loves to cuddle.

Sunny is a sweet and tiny girl. Her pictures are deceiving she quite small and will not get any larger. She was shy at first however her foster mommy has introduced her to many new things and new people. She’s great with all dogs and loves people now. Her coloring is so pretty and so unique. We have no idea of her breed and can only speculate some lab and maybe some hound. She’s just stunning and will make a great family member.

Razzle came to us with her sister Gum Drop and they are both so cute and so sweet. Also sort of shy and scared in new surroundings but they are coming around awesomely. They are undergoing potty training now and learning to socialize with other dogs as well. They will make wonderful family members for two very lucky families. Or if you have it in your heart to adopt them both together they would love that and so would we.

Trish is such a sweet girl and she is a bit shy at first. Sadly she came from a home were she was just left outside with her siblings and they would get fed occasionally. They never learned human touch or love from humans. We have worked with her on this and she is just amazing. She now wants to be touched she wants your attention, as if she is saying "where have you been all my life?" and " oooooo yes belly rub please!!!" She’s submissive in nature and socialized well with other dogs. She loves all dogs especially puppies. She’s crate trained, house trained and socialized. She can be playful but she is also pretty laid back as well. She is still young and will need things to chew such as nylabones, pig ears or hooves. She had never been inside a home before coming to us and didn't know what was chewable and what wasn't. We think she's got it down pat now though as long as she has her things she's allowed to chew.
